Eveline Kleinjan
I'm a design leader with 15+ years experience in creating digital and physical products and services people love using. My experience spans mobile apps, web, desktop apps, navigation devices, action cameras and wearables. Most recently I was working in the energy and smart home space - helping people get their homes (gradually) to Net Zero.
For the past 3.5 years I have led a multi-disciplinary design team consisting of Product Designers, Service Designers and UX Researchers, operating in the energy transition space. I have unified a previously fragmented team around a shared vision, high standards and a strong culture of collaboration.
I’ve always loved the strategic side of design: shaping ideas, defining problems, and setting the right direction before diving into execution. In previous roles across innovation teams, this was my main focus, and it remains a key part of my process today. Taking the time upfront to explore what we should be designing and why always leads to better outcomes. It also elevates the role of a design within an organisation and this is something I’ll always advocate for.
Having spent over 12 years working in London, I’ve learned the value of leading and collaborating with people from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures. I believe diversity (of experience, perspective, and thought) is what drives the best design work.
